Job Title: CNC Turning Center Operator

Department: S

Classification: Hourly, Non-exempt, Full-time First Shift

Job Responsibilities

  • Prove out set-ups
  • Works from and in accordance with specifications and design criteria including but not limited to verbal instructions, drawings, and blueprints; performs standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, speeds, and feeds of machining.
  • Uses a wide variety of precision measuring instruments; maintains accurate dimensional tolerances based upon drawings.
  • Monitor machine operations
  • Reworks and calibrates production parts or assemblies and machine tooling as required; checks each component for accuracy.

Skill Requirements

  • Experienced with CNC Turning Centers
  • Must be able to up to 50lbs
  • Experience with various types of gauging
  • Ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to understand any and all safety requirements and cautions.
  • Ability to perform the physical labor necessary.

Classification: Hourly, Non-exempt, Full-time First Shift

Job Responsibilities

  • Set-up and run new jobs.
  • Works from and in accordance with specifications and design criteria including but not limited to verbal instructions, drawings, and blueprints; performs standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, speeds, and feeds of machining.
  • Edit program setting as related to tool feeds and speeds when necessary
  • Adjust tool travel distance
  • Uses a wide variety of precision measuring instruments; maintains accurate dimensional tolerances based upon drawings.
  • Monitor machine operations
  • Reworks and calibrates production parts or assemblies and machine tooling as required; checks each component for accuracy.
  • Replace dull tools as necessary
  • Set and sharpen tools as necessary

Skill Requirements

  • Experienced with set-up and program Hitachi Seiki Horiz Machine
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to set auxiliary machines (hand mills, Milwaukee Vertical and 6 to 8 spindle drill presses)
  • Experience with various types of gauging
  • Ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to understand any and all safety requirements and cautions.
  • Ability to perform the physical labor necessary.

Job Title: Mill Operator

Classification: Regular, non-exempt, full-time, first Shift

Job Responsibilities

  • Set-up and operate manual milling machines 0-8, 1224 and Bridge Ports
  • Adjusting settings: Adjusting the speed, feed, and other settings of the machines
  • Mill to close tolerances
  • Changing tools and parts: Changing tools and parts when needed
  • Maintaining machinery: Ensuring the machines run smoothly and efficiently, and performing routine maintenance
  • Measuring materials: Measuring raw materials and feeding them into the machines
  • Controlling input: Controlling the input of materials and ore into the mill
  • Monitoring quality: Overseeing the quality and quantity of the product
  • Removing workpieces: Removing workpieces from machines and checking that they meet specifications
  • Verifying alignment: Verifying that workpieces are aligned on the machines

Skill Requirements

  • Job requires the following motions: stretching, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, twisting, throwing, walking, standing, reaching and squatting.
  • Requires regular lifting of up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Working with coolants
  • Knowledge of gauging equipment micrometers height gage and calipers
  • This job requires the individual to have good hand to eye coordination and comply with all industry regulations.

  • Understanding of CNC programming codes for troubleshooting machine tool problems
  • Understanding of Fanuc machine controls
  • Read electrical schematics
  • Read and interpret blue prints
  • Rig and install CNC and other machines
  • Read precision measuring instruments such as Oscilloscopes, Digital Volt Meters, etc.
  • Knowledge of 120 volt and 208/460 volt three phase
  • Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Understanding of plumbing and general day-to-day building repairs

Skill Requirements:

  • High School Diploma Required
  • Electronics Trade School Graduate – Preferred
  • Trouble Shooting of Electronic Circuitry
  • Organized and Detailed Oriented

Job Title: Precision Grinder

Department: G

Classification: Hourly, Non-exempt, Full-time First Shift

Job Responsibilities

  • Determining grinding speeds, feed rates, holding fixtures, and grinding wheels to be used
  • Determining product specifications such as dimensions, tolerances, and number of parts to be ground per blue prints and router instructions
  • Applicant must be able to setup and use micrometers, dial bore gages, snap gages, profilometers, sin bars, etc
  • Attention to detail and following instructions
  • Having a general understanding of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance

Skill Requirements

  • O.D., I.D and Infeed grinding experience
  • Knowledge of gauging equipment for holding close tolerances
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints
  • Ability to use hand tools for set-up and assembly
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
  • Work with grinding coolants, cleaning fluids and anti-rust oil.
